Brynn (aka Tinkerbell)

Where did the time go? All of a sudden Brynn is fourteen and entering high-school! Even as a small child, Brynn always had a fun, energetic, imaginative and independent personality. Those qualities have stayed with her and helped her accomplish amazing things.
Happy Birthday Brynn! You are too cool for middle school!

Cassie

The kids had so many fun events at the end of the school year. It kept us extremely busy the last few weeks, but we are really proud of all their accomplishments. Here's Cassie in her production of Cinderella. She had a blast playing the comedic role of "Stephella", one of the stepsisters.

The very next day, she performed a song from "Wicked" at her piano recital and also earned a certificate of merit. Great job, Cass!

"Twilight"

With Brynn's persuading, I'm finally getting around to reading Twilight. I know I'm way behind the times with this, but I've been skeptical about the whole vampire thing. What intrigued me though, was the fact the main character is from Phoenix/Scottsdale and apparently, some of the book takes place there. My parents live just off Cactus Road and on our last trip to Arizona, Brynn was adamant that we find 58th St. &Cactus Rd. I guess something big takes place there and I'll find out soon what that might be. She was a little disappointed to find out it was just a residential corner, but still wanted a picture here.

Ethan

Ethan has had a busy couple of months! This all started with his entry in the school science fair. A huge fan of "Mythbusters", Ethan used an experiment from one of their episodes that we all know as Diet Coke & Mentos! Ethan can now tell you that the rocket-like reaction is not caused by a chemical reaction, but a physical reaction called "nucleation." The whole family got involved: Brynn shot some great video footage which Cassie edited and played on her lap top at the science fair. It was a popular stop that night!

In May, we traveled to Arizona so Ethan could be baptized along with his cousin, Cassidy. It was really special to have so much family at the baptism as we are usually somewhat on our own out here. Wayne's parents came from Utah and we packed in a lot of fun: hiking, swimming, lazy river, dinners out, etc.

Somewhere in between all that, he had his eighth birthday and also finished a fantastic season of baseball on the Orioles. Wow! Congratulations on all your accomplishments Ethan!

Ward Split

Our ward split two weeks ago, and we were put into LR2.
The bright side : We might be able to get soft seats in sacrament!
The down side: We aren't with all of our friends.
At least we will be able to see our friends at school, and also be able to meet new friends!
