Finally 12!

Those of you who have fall birthdays know how agonizing it is to wait for your birthday to roll around. Especially if all your friends have turned 12 and moved into the youth group, etc. Congratulations Cass - you finally made it! Here she is celebrating at her murder mystery party.

health kick

Brynn has always been our biggest junk food junkie, but lately (thanks in part to her high-school health class and also Bethanie K ;o) she's decided to change her ways....yeah! She's been a great influence on all of us and is continually asking me to buy particular healthy snacks whenever I go to the store. She decided to combine all her new knowledge in to a YW in Excellence project (see below). It should be an interesting Halloween, although I'm pretty sure none of are ready to go completely cold turkey just yet. Baby steps......

Cowabunga Unga!

After many hours of work, Ethan was finally able to race his pride and joy "Cowubunga Unga!" (For those who don't know, Unga is a star running back for BYU--and an appropriate mascot as the Cougs are having a great season and ranked 8th. That was for you, Wayne.)

Cowubunga Unga was pretty fast and won the first few heats, then ultimately came in 4th place after the finals. We had a lot of fun cheering for all the cars, and I truly believe this event is just as much for the Dads as it is the Scouts :o) Wayne and Ethan came home and promptly began to discuss next year's car.
